RECENT PERSONAL REPORTS
27 DECEMBER 2011 - SOOKE, BC
Fished off Becher Bay from sunrise until noon. 4 fish hooked, 2 landed. For Winter Chinook fishing, definately nothing more than an average day, also given the small size. Both springs were 3-4lbs.

Fish were caught around 140' with Tiger Prawn Hootchy (leader length to my shoulder, for springs) and Bloody Nose Anchovy (4' leader). Flashers were Red/Glo and Green/Glo. Best spot was around Church Rock. Often times the east end of Whirl Bay is a real sweet spot, but not so this time.

21-22 OCTOBER 2011 - BROWN'S BAY, BC
We got out to the Chum Derby out of Brown's Bay. Great time! The best part was the fishing was great.

In total we landed 16 Chum Salmon, all between 4-8lbs, which are small by Chum standards. Most were caught off Separation Head at 50-70'. Tackle was Green/Glo Flasher with a 33" leader to a Pink Minisquirt with a Black stripe on it, and a pink/purple spin n glo in front of the minisquirt. This pink and black minisquirt was the hot lure over the weekend. Other pink lures did not work as well. Also of note, afternoons provided better fishing.
